Carol Coronado, REALTOR®
Hello, my name is Carol Coronado and I was born and raised in Harlingen, graduating from Harlingen High School with the Class of 2015. In January of 2021 received my real estate license and have hit the ground running! I would like to share with you the special story of how I came to have a career in real estate. I was a teen mom. My daughter was born on my 17th birthday, when I was a Junior in high school. During my pregnancy and after she was born, I always had a job while attending school. I was raised by my very supportive and strong grandmother, who continued to help me by keeping Leah while I worked nights and weekends just to make ends meet. I was enrolled in a Teen Parenting Class at HHS, where a group of women from the community came every other Tuesday to mentor and build relationships with us. They were with an organization called Young Lives, and that is how I met Lolly Burns. From the very first time we met Lolly and I had a strong connection. Just at the time I was graduating, Lolly's secretary in her real estate business was moving to another state. Lolly knew I was working at a convenience store and had to work late at night and on weekends. Because of our time together she knew I was a hard worker and graduating on time, in spite of being a teen mom. She asked me to come in and talk to her about taking the job as her secretary, promising a better hourly wage and regular hours Monday through Friday. I was hired and you might say the rest is history! From July 2015 on I have learned about real estate the very best way, I believe -by observing, listening, and witnessing everything Lolly Burns and her daughter Carly Thomas have done in their work while representing both buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. I have been part of a small, family- oriented company with an excellent reputation for honesty, integrity, and pride in their work. I know the value that quality good communication, quality photography and professionalism bring to the table, and I have lots of experience in staging homes for the best presentation possible. In the years since July 2015, I married a wonderful man named Eli, who was also a teen dad and has a son. A year after our marriage, we had a daughter of our own, and we're making things work, getting through the good and hard times of life together. We are Christians and members of Logos Community Church. Together, we give back to other teen parents by volunteering with Young Lives, the organization that brought Lolly and me together in the first place. I look forward to a long and fulfilling career in real estate, and Eli and I are working toward the goal of being homeowners ourselves sometime soon. I stand ready to help you, too, whether buying or selling, and appreciate the opportunities that await me.
